Employers from the region provided a safe, online environment to meet with prospective employees.
Job seekers had a chance to interact with hiring managers in a safe, online environment during a recruiting event October 27. “Helping Virginia Get Back to Work” featured dozens of employers from the Lynchburg, Danville, Martinsville, and South Boston areas. The event took place from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on a website operated by Premier Virtual. Attendees had an opportunity to visit virtual job fair booths created for individual companies, learn about available openings, and chat in real time with hiring managers. The job fair was hosted by the Virginia Employment Commission, which is organizing similar events to promote hiring in all corners of the state this month.
