Introduction
The CVPDC established the On-call Consultant Program (OCP) to facilitate the delivery of planning, architectural, engineering, and other professional services for local and regional projects. These consultants offer a wide range of services to Central Virginia ranging from travel demand modeling to regional visioning. Several are already engaged in CVPDC projects including our Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, Lynchburg Multimodal Plan, and Regional Flood Resilience Plan. Each consultant, most with a team of subconsultants, proposes to offer an array of services to the CVPDC and CVTPO.
Most offer a combination of professional and non-professional services. Professional services include architecture, engineering, and other services that commonly include stamped drawings by registered professionals. Plans and studies are generally considered non-professional services and may be conducted by professional planners, economists, designers, and or/engineers. Each consultant provides non-professional services, which are available to member local governments through cooperative procurement. Further, members may reach out to the vendors regarding professional services. Resumes for each are available from CVPDC staff.
Member local government staff are welcome to browse the resumes of our consultants to learn of their capabilities. Those consultants offering non-professional services may be available via cooperative procurement to member local governments.
