The Virginia Career Works Lynchburg Center welcomed 149 job seekers and 18 employers to its Fall Multi-Employer Hiring Event on October 6. Employers reported receiving strong applications and connecting with promising candidates, while job seekers appreciated the variety of employment opportunities available.
The event was a collaborative effort involving Virginia Works staff and workforce development partners, including the WIOA Title I team contracted by the Central Virginia Workforce Development Board through HumanKind, along with staff providing veterans' employment services. Their teamwork helped make the event a success.
The Lynchburg Center hosts multi-employer hiring events each spring and fall, along with recruitment events for individual employers throughout the year. The Workforce Development Board thanks the participating employers, job seekers, and workforce partners for their continued commitment to connecting local talent with employment opportunities.
