CDL classes beginning March 28th at Central Virginia Community College!

New training programs are launching in the region to address the demand for commercial truck drivers. Adult and Career Education (ACE) of Central Virginia is partnering with First Piedmont and Virginia Technical Institute to offer a six-week Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) class beginning April 11th. Slots are available for eight students. The total cost to complete the program is $4,700, including books, Department of Transportation physical, and drug testing. Grant funding is available to cover most of the cost (up to $3,700). The deadline to register is April 4. Those interested should contact David Sage at 434-369-8200. Central Virginia Community College (CVCC) will also begin offering weekday and weekend CDL classes beginning March 28. Eligible Virginia residents may qualify for funding to cover one third of the tuition cost. Those interested should call 434-832-7607.
