Armes Precision is investing in the kind of specialized training that helps a manufacturing company stay strong in a competitive market, and the Central Virginia Workforce Development Board was pleased to help.
Through its Existing Worker Training program, the board provided $2,000 to offset the cost of Haas Maintenance & Repair Training for one Armes Precision employee. The company applied for support to strengthen its in-house ability to diagnose and repair advanced CNC equipment, reduce downtime, and improve equipment reliability. The 40-hour training was provided by Phillips Education and offered hands-on instruction in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Haas machines.
