CVPDC expands water relief mini grant program

The CVPDC has expanded the Water Relief Mini Grant Program to support the protection of our local water resources through the installation of Best Management Practices (BMPs).

The program provides up to $4,500 to fund the construction/ implementation, or now, the evaluation and design of BMP projects like rain gardens and permeable pavers. Localities, organizations, schools, businesses, and community groups within the Chesapeake Bay Watershed are welcome to apply.

The Water Relief Mini Grant Guide and Application are found here.  Applications are accepted through October 31, 2026, or until grant funds are expended.

You can learn more about BMPs with the EPA’s Best Management Practices (BMPs) Siting Tool, or see examples of small BMP projects by heading to EPA’s Soak Up the Rain.
