At its regular summer meeting and first meeting of Fiscal Year 2026-2027, the Central Virginia Planning District Commission conducted its annual election of officers.
Appomattox Mayor Richard Conner assumed the chairmanship of the CVPDC for the term of July 2026 to July 2027. Thus begins Mayor Conner’s third tour as CVPDC’s Chairman.
Joining Mayor Conner as a returning officer is Bedford County Supervisor John Sharp. Supervisor Sharp, who previously served the Commission as Chairman and Vice-Chairman, is the CVPDC Vice-Chairman for the current fiscal year.
Appomattox Town Manager Michael Campbell, new to Central Virginia in 2025, is serving alongside Mayor Conner as Treasurer.
Per the Commission's bylaws, the CVPDC Executive Director, Alec Brebner, acts as Secretary.
The Commission thanks these experienced leaders for their service to the Central Virginia Planning District and its member local governments!
