The CVPDC, along with localities, organizations, stakeholders, state agencies, and Planning District Commissions (PDCs) throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed, have worked with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to outline the Commonwealth’s strategy to meet 2025 water quality goals.

Virginia’s Final Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan outlines a series of ambious goals and necessary supporting actions, Best Management Practices (BMPs) and policy initiatives, to accomplish the 2025 nutrient reduction, or Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL) goals.  View or download Virginia’s Final Phase III Watershed Implementation Plan.

CVPDC staff will continue to partner with local stakeholders to advance local and regional initiatives, or watershed implementation plan activities, that protect our local waterways, which flow into and thus, support the Chesapeake Bay.  Learn more at cvpdc.org or contact kelly.hitchcock@cvpdc.org.
