A Lynchburg Team has been invited to participate in VWAI program.
A Central Virginia/Lynchburg Team is among five Virginia area teams to be chosen to participate in the Virginia Department of Health’s Virginia Walkability Action Institute (VWAI). The VWAI is an course experience that is dedicated to leading a collaborative learning experience that fosters increased collaboration to create a local action plan that supports walkability in Virginia communities. The Lynchburg Team includes Lindsey Cawood, Population Health Manager, Central Virginia Health District, Reid Wodicka, Deputy City Manager, Anne Nygaard, Senior Planner, Mohammad Zaid, Traffic Engineer, and Councilman Beau Wright, City of Lynchburg, Michael Elliott, Senior Vice President & Chief Transportation Officer, Centra, Lisa Taylor, Community Access Network, and CVPDC Planning & Development, Kelly Hitchcock. The team looks forward to sharing the results of this participation program later this fall.
