Ada Hunsberger joins the CVPDC as a regional planner as primary staff to the CVTPO.
The Central Virginia Planning District Commission is excited to welcome the newest regional planner, Ada Hunsberger, to the team! Ada earned her Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Albany in New York, with graduate research focused on Transit Oriented Development, stakeholder engagement and hazard mitigation.
Professionally, Ada brings expertise in transit issues, ADA compliance and transportation policy. She has worked on engaging stakeholders to participate in interagency transit partnerships, and community outreach events including New York City’s Car Free Day. In her new role, Ada will manage the Virginia Department of Transportation Planning Programs, which include our region’s Long Range Transportation Plan, the maintenance of our Six Year Transportation Improvement Plan, and serve as primary staff to the Central Virginia Transportation Planning Organization (CVTPO).
In her spare time, Ada can be found exploring new places and visiting museums and cultural attractions with her husband Brian.
