Riders on all Greater Lynchburg Transit Company routes can expect changes to their usual trips starting on Monday, December 17 after the GLTC board unanimously approved the most significant route updates to the system in over 15 years. Changes range from time updates to adding bi-directional service and incorporating new stops. Transit company staff held eleven public meetings to solicit feedback from riders before finalizing route recommendations.
Central Virginia PDC staff have been assisting in the update process by mapping the new routes and stops in a format that can be uploaded to Google. This means customers throughout the service area will easily be able to see the patterns and schedules of the new routes as they roll out on 12/17.
