In June of 2018 the Town of Pamplin City was awarded funding from the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) through the Virginia Water Supply Revolving Fund and from Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project to upgrade and improve facilities on their 75,000-gallon

The water storage tank was completely renovated with a new paint job in the exterior and the interior, well vaults and buildings were improved two wells sites, as well as new controls and control panels were installed at the well sites to improve communication and automate the system.

CVPDC staff provided its expertise and guidance to Town Council and Town staff throughout the project, which began in May 2016, including assistance in the development of their Waterworks Business Operations Plan, conducting and submitting the environmental review record to VDH, procurement of on-call engineering services, and construction administrative services such as file management and MBE/WBE and Davis-Bacon compliance.
