The RERC program is accepting applications through October 16, 2024, to provide planning assistance to small towns and rural communities to help them boost their outdoor recreation economies and revitalize their main streets.
The program is a partnership between EPA’s Office of Community Revitalization, USDA Forest Service, the Northern Boarder Regional Commission, the Appalachian Regional Commission, and the Denali Commission. Selected communities work alongside federal agency partners and consultants to advance outdoor recreation and community goals and visions.
- EPA will hold a program information and how-to-apply workshop September 5, 2024, from 3:30 – 5:00 PM.
