Acquire, Renovate, Sell (ARS) Grant
DHCD has opened the Acquire, Renovate, Sell (ARS) Grant Program which strives to create affordable homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income (LMI) and first-time homebuyers by renovating properties. For those not familiar with the program, ARS (Acquire, Renovate, Sell) strives to create affordable homeownership opportunities for low-to-moderate income (LMI), first-time homebuyers by renovating previously undervalued homes, while allowing providers increased discretion over acquisition type, region and resale. ARS is open to nonprofits, all local units of government, planning district commissions (PDC's), and housing authorities.

FY2022 Historic Preservation Fund - Semiquincentennial Grants
The National Park Service Semiquincentennial Grant Program supports physical preservation of cultural resources associated with the founding of the nation. Funded by the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF), grants will fund the preservation to National Register listed historic properties including buildings, sites, structures, objects or historic districts.

U.S. DOT Thriving Communities Program
The US DOT Thriving Communities Program is a $30 million collaboration between DOT and HUD to help by providing technical assistance, planning, and capacity building to support communities' knowledge and ability to access the range of program funding through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Sewer and Wastewater Grants
The Virginia General Assembly allocated a portion of ARPA funds for septic, straight pipe, and sewer collection system repair, replacement, and upgrades. Program grant funds include:
- Sewer Collection System (SCS) Program - $65 million for sewer system repair, replacement, and upgrades. Application due December 15, 2022
- Septic Local Partner Program (SLPP) Program - $5 million to local partners to develop and implement a funding program for projects that provide septic repair, replacement and upgrades as a wastewater treatment solution. Applications due December 15, 2022
