The CVPDC was awarded a $100,000 Community Impact Grant from Virginia Housing to complete a Regional Housing Market Analysis. HousingForward Virginia (HFV), a statewide housing policy and research agency, was procured to complete the study. HFV has extensive knowledge of evaluating housing data and facilitating housing studies across the Commonwealth and has led similar studies throughout Virginia.  

The Central Virginia Planning District Regional Housing Study evaluates current housing trends and needs, presents comprehensive housing data, examines local programs, and finally presents short and long-term program and policy opportunities and recommendations, tailored to the housing needs, challenges, and opportunities within the unique communities that comprise our service region. The Central Virginia Planning District Regional Housing Study, including the data analysis, is presented in an easily accessible, interactive web format or in printable PDF format.

Review of Past Studies and Plans summarizes regional plans that were evaluated to understand historical strategies and present common themes. 

Engagement and Outreach is a summary of stakeholder sessions and input that guided the regional housing plan.
