The Local Government Council has established itself as a leader in identifying service areas that can be consolidated to support cost savings and fiduciary benefits to our member localities. These consolidated services include jointly operating the regional emergency communications system, coordinated efforts for regional solid waste disposal, and provide staffing to the transportation policy-making board for the urbanized areas of the region.
