RIDE Solutions, and our lead organizations, are excited to announce a new partnership with the West Piedmont Workforce Investment Board (WPWIB) to bring its free commuter service program to the greater Martinsville and Danville area.
The entire WPWIB program area, which includes Danville, Pittsylvania County, Martinsville, Henry County and Patrick County will be included into the new RIDE Solutions’ service region. Lisa Fultz, Executive Director of the WPWIB, remarked “The services offered through RIDE Solutions can help solve transportation related challenges for both employees and local businesses. Participating in the program will result in more money in the pockets of employees and improved work attendance for employers.”
Martinsville City Manager Leon Towarnicki noted the program as an excellent way to leverage existing transportation infrastructure with resources for commuters and employers. “The Ride Solutions program is a very costs effective way to resolve some of the transportation challenges confronting residents. This program provides a tremendous opportunity for commuters and businesses to address transportation problems at little or no cost.”
We look forward to this service area expansion being a real benefit to the many commuters between the West Piedmont and greater Lynchburg area. To learn more about all of RIDE Solutions free commuter services contact Kelly Hitchcock.
